Neighborhood Safety
Have you had vandalism occur on your street or to your house (like beverages stolen from your garage or small pranks) and didn't feel it was a big enough incident to file a police report? If so, please contact Marina Leneave at 897.4627 mleneave@verizon.net with details on the incidents. As our Neighborhood Safety Awareness team leader, she is gathering data to show patterns and to see what The Grove as a whole could possibly do to make our community safe and vandal-free!

Please have the following information available:
Community Name & Property Address.  Contact Name & Telephone Number (usually the Real Estate agent).  Purchaser's Name & Closing Attorneys' Name & Telephone Number.

Signature at pick-up is required.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a property in Krim Point, Scotter Hills or Ridgemoor; an additional disclosure book is required.  Contact those HOA or management companies for their required disclosure books.

According to the Code of Virginia § 55-511, a disclosure packet is required to be given to new buyers when they purchase in the Grove. As the seller, the GHOA is required to provide it to you within 14 days of written request and your payment of the $250 fee. A buyer then has the right to cancel the contract within 3 days of receipt of the packet. According to § 55-512, it is important to get the current version of this packet from the GHOA to the seller. In other words, you cannot give them the packet you received when you bought the house as the information (i.e. budget, officers, etc.) would not be up-to-date as required by that code. You can view more of these laws by visiting http://leg1.state.va.us/000/src.htm.
