Walking of dogs...
Up to General Forum
A dog is a huge responsibility. I live in the Gravity Hill section and it amazes me at the lack of common courtesy of many of our neighbors. If you want your dog to do its business on a lawn, please let them do it on your lawn or your backyard - then you can leave it there and enjoy it. It is not OK with me for you to walk your dog on my lawn -- some of these neighbors even walk to the middle of their neighbors lawm and seem to think this is acceptable. I do not maintain my lawn so you can let your dog go to the bathroom on it and then to boot, not even have the common decency to pick up after it. I even noticed that the community added another a doggy disposal post in Gravity Hill. However, it seems that circle is just filled with dog feces as no one seems to want to pick up after their pets - it is absolutely appalling that some of our neighbors think this is acceptable and is becoming more common place. And we also seem to have more neighbors who do not follow the leash law. If you want your dog to roam without a leash, put up a fence, go to the Rockwood dog park or move to a house that sits on acres of land. I do not appreciate by kids screaming because your dog runs over to them or having your dog run out in front of my car. Please be accountable and accept responsibiliy for your pets!!!

Maybe you should move to the country where you won't have to deal with pets, kids and neighbors.Wow I did not see saying they didn't like dogs or kids on the 1st posting. All they talked about was cleaning up after your pet and not letting them run around all over the place. But your response is intersting. Guess you don't care if dogs crap on your lawn and scare your kids.
WOW -- guess the original person who posted this thread doesn't have to "move out to the country" - they were right on the money.-- unfortunatley a resident was even injured by a roaming dog before this continuing and growing problem made it to the Grove newsletter. I certainly hope that everyone accepts responsibility for their pets -- I would hate to have someone else injured.
